We are being forced to reschedule all of our August trips at this point because the Mexican Government is not willing to give us any clarity on this situation. The government has 2 departments that both need to allow us to run, the government of Ensenada and the department that governs the park of Guadalupe. Neither at this time, are even willing to talk about a reopening date as the Ensenada area, being close to the US border has a high number of infections and is increasing greatly at the moment. This situation is truly out of our control. We do understand that you will not be happy with this, but I am sorry, that again, this is something that we cannot control. We are happy to reschedule you for any open date and you will see the calendar attached. If you do not want to choose a date right now that is ok, Elodie will create a full credit for you for use when you decide upon the trip you would like. Please be assured that we are more than frustrated with this situation.
In Mexico, there is no unemployment insurance or any support of any kind from the government for employees. Therefore, we made a commitment to our employees to continue to pay them so they can actually live. We have been non-operational since March with 0 revenue coming in. Therefore, we are not offering refunds as we are not in the position to do so. Again, I do apologize if this displeases you but in good consciousness, we couldn't allow our employees to not be able to live or eat.
Again, you have my sincere apologies and we are looking forward to seeing you aboard when the time is right.
